Executive Chef
Chris Opsata is Chef of URBAN enoteca, new destination wine tasting venue, restaurant and private event space. As an experienced chef, Opsata brings an extensive background in planning and creating menus using fresh seasonal ingredients and working with large event venues.
URBAN enoteca’s food will embody the Washington Wine Country experience utilizing the freshest, best ingredients from our state and region to introduce Italian inspired foods that evoke the emotions, tastes and senses that are wine country. The menu will offer numerous small bites and shared platters featuring locally and housemade salumi, cheeses, flatbreads and simple prepared “one bites.” There will be an expanded selection of appetizers, salads, pastas made fresh daily and grilled or roasted seasonal fish and meat.
Most recently, Opsata was the Executive Chef at Bellevue’s Tam O’Shanter Golf & Country Club, where he was in charge of all aspects of kitchen operations including staff management, food preparation and creation of catering and banquette menus. Opsata contributed heavily to the Club House operations for food and beverages to ensure a high level of food quality and consistency.
Prior to moving back to Washington, Opsata was the Executive Chef and Partner at Corkscrew Café in Manhattan Beach, Calif. During his time at Corkscrew Café, Opsata managed all opening elements for the restaurant and wine bar, created and prepared dozens of tapas style dishes that changed daily and assisted with selecting a list of featured wines.
Opsata attended the California School of Culinary Arts and participated in the Le Cordon Bleu Programs for Culinary Arts in 2003 and 2004.
